Ocean Grove left-arm quick Dan Roddis did his chances of earning a recall to the A Grade side no harm with a four-wicket haul in B1 Grade on Saturday.

Roddis took 4-34 and did the early damage taking three quick wickets to have Barwon Heads 3-19 at one stage.

The Heads found the going tough and laboured to 9-105 from 40 overs although youngster Angus Ford continues to play well with a mature 25 from 80 balls.

Grove won the game, getting home with just two overs to spare.

In B2 Grade, Little River upset top side St Leonards and Collendina upset Portarlington.

Izaak Terhorst (43), Richie Peters (27) and Jack Every (22) pressed their claims for an A Grade recall while Dave Treharne took 4-12 from eight overs including five maidens with his left-arm seamers.

Collendina skipper Garry Wingrave fell one run short of a deserved century in C Grade.

Wingrave made 99 from 90 balls and hit 15 fours and three sixes and shared a 152-run partnership with Grant McIntosh, who made 57.

Wingrave then capped off a three-vote performance with 4-9.

Alex Umbers made 81 for Anglesea in a good win over Ocean Grove.

Mark Johnson dominated D Grade with an unbeaten 111 for Wallington.

However, Wallington lost the game to Collendina with Lachlan Vagg snaring five wickets and making a fine 77.

Drysdale’s David Willis made 79 not out in his side’s victory over Newcomb.
