Club champions Michaela and Joshua Payne. 167633

Ocean Grove-Barwon Heads Little Athletics held its end of year presentation day at Barwon Heads Village Park.
After the president’s address, trophies were presented to the little athletes in each of the respective age groups U7s-U15s (boys and girls) and the overall club awards for both the most number of personal bests achieved over the season, and the overall Geelong Little Athletics Club (GLAC) points amassed over the season.
Sibling duo Joshua Payne (U11B) and Michaela Payne (U10G) were this year’s overall club champions, with Joshua equalling the GLAC U11B high jump record of Jed Bews (1.50m), and breaking the GLAC U11B 60m hurdles record with a time of 9.87 seconds.
Long service awards were presented to U15s Keely Reid, Jools Bond and Oliver Wiltshire, who have represented OGBH from U7 to U15 level.
Outstanding contribution awards were also presented to Belinda Cambridge and Trevor Hackett, for their dedication towards the running of the club.
Now that the little athletics season has come to a close, the cross-country season has just kicked off. If you would like to represent OGBH this season at cross-country, or next season at little athletics (registration in September 2017), jump onto www.ogbhlac.org.au, or call 0404 741 123.
