Residents get say as big field contests Corangamite

Corangamite MP Sarah Henderson and ALP candidate Libby Coker will face off with eight other candidates in this year's election

OCEAN Grove residents will get their say on the future of Corangamite, and perhaps the country, in a community forum this month.
Ocean Grove Community Association president Michael Harbour said the forum would be the residents’ chance to decide who deserves their vote.
“This is the public’s opportunity to meet, listen to and ask questions of our candidates,” he said.
“We encourage voters to attend this important forum and take an active role in our democratic process.”
The Barwon Heads Association and OGCA will hold the forum, at 7pm on 20 June, at the Ocean Grove Bowling club.
“We will try and cover as many Federal issues as possible, ranging from what impacts on the Bellarine to Australia as a whole,” Mr Harbour said.
Mr Harbour stressed every vote counted in the marginal electorate Corangamite.
“Your vote will be important in determining our representative for the next three years,” he said
“It may – in fact – be critical in who governs Australia.”
OGCA member Phil Emery will run the forum, which will include time for questions from the public.
