Ocean Grove suffered an upset loss in round two of Bellarine Football League on Saturday.

The Grubbers have now lost their opening two games of the season and they ran into a determined Anglesea unit at Ellimatta Reserve.

Ocean Grove held a slender four-point lead at the first break and was down by five at half time and by eight at the last change.

But Anglesea booted four goals to two in the final term to run out winners 13.8(86) to 9.11(65).

Ryan Williams was best for Anglesea while Darcy Elliott, after his heroic six-wicket haul for Anglesea Cricket Club in the grand final only weeks ago, was also good.

Mitch Taylor and Jayden McHenry were busy for Ocean Grove.

Ocean Grove takes on Newcomb on Easter Saturday in what is already a must-win game under lights at Ray Menzies Oval.

Barwon Heads is also winless after going down to Torquay under lights at Spring Creek Reserve.

The Tigers led at every change, despite a second-term rally from Barwon Heads, to run out winners 16.13(109) to 9.7(61).

Paul McMahon and Callum Currie each booted three for Torquay while Pierson Bennett was best.

For the Seagulls, Nathan Brown kicked three and Kyle Maher was busy.

Drysdale continued on from its impressive round one win to thump Geelong Amateur by 85 points, 20.17(137) to 7.10(52).

Ben Fennell kicked five for the Hawks while Matthew Gunn and Mat Hebbard each kicked four.

Modewarre flexed its muscles, accounting for Queenscliff by 50 points.

Queenscliff booted six goals in the third quarter to reduce the margin to just nine points at the last break, but an eight-goal last term saw the Warriors run out winners.

Connor Joseph and Aaron Black each snagged five majors for Modda.

Newcomb bounced back with a 95-point win against Portarlington. Andrew Steele booted five while Blake Ritchie was best.

Port showed it will be much better than last season. The Demons managed a credible 19 scoring shots to suggest a win might not be beyond them this season.
