Ocean Grove defeated Anglesea in its opening round BPCA B1 Grade clash

Anglesea made 7/159 batting first with captain Darcy Cooper top scoring with 39 from 54 deliveries.

The Grubbers shared the wickets around with Tahj Wirth, Bailey Le Maistre and Dylan Thorley grabbing two poles each.

Needing four an over for victory, Grove got home in an absolute thriller. With eight required from the final over and only one wicket in hand, Wirth (9 not out) and Tyler Carmody (34 not out) got their side home with a comfortable two balls to spare. Earlier, Nathan Taylor made 37 at the top of the order.

Barwon Heads enjoyed a good win against an undermanned Queenscliff.

The Coutas could only muster 73 with more than 10 overs left available.

Oscar Irwin was the star with the pill for the Gulls, taking three for four off eight overs.

The Seagulls made light work of the chase, reaching the target in the 22nd over with seven wickets still left in the sheds. Will Snookes top scored with 22.

Armstrong Creek defeated Drysdale in a high-quality game.

Adrian Millard (32) top scored for Drysdale in its score of 8/144 while Ben Notman and Ryan Parkinson each grabbed three wickets.

The Titans made the runs with two wickets in hand as Notman completed a three-vote performance with 62 and youngster Hayden Eddy taking 3/39.

Jan Juc and Barrabool had to share the points with rain ruining any chance of a result.

Jan Juc made 170 batting first with solid contributions at the top of the list from James Downey (40), Gabe Egan (34) and Shane Fitzgerald (35), but it was the bowling performance of Cameron Foot that stole the show. Foot took 6/22 from eight overs in a stunning performance.

Barrabool was 4/84 when rain ended play with James Laidlaw making 41 from 34 balls.

In B2 Grade, St Leonards cruised to victory against Jan Juc, making 252 with Adam Bonner starting the season well with 77 and Marty Frankovic 43 while Adrian Caudullo smacked a quickfire 35.

The Sharks managed only 75 in reply with Anthony Ward snaring four wickets.

Winchelsea beat Portarlington thanks largely to a five-wicket haul by Matt Partridge. Port made 88 and Winch chased the total down after a scare, being 6/58, but Patridge (22 not out) and Jye Price (13 not out) steadied the ship for a four-wicket win.

Inverleigh beat Collendina by seven wickets.

Dina made 124 after being sent in with Chris Thompson (32) top scoring.

The Kookaburras got the runs with 11 overs to spare with Leigh Heazlewood 43 not out.

Armstrong Creek demolished Little River by 10 wickets.

Little River made 50 all out and the Titans passed the total in just 10 overs with James Claney 42 not out.
