There’s a lot to like about Clifton Springs Golf Club’s seaside bistro aptly named the ‘Springs Bistro’ and if you havne’t been in to check it out since its renovation, you’re missing out.
In 2015 the club’s bistro underwent a major refurbishment with the brief being to create a contemporary dining space that takes full advantage of the incredible view overlooking the rolling greens below and the breathtaking Bellarine Peninsula coastline. Safe to say, they’ve hit a hole-in-one and it would seem many locals and visitors agree with the bistro becoming a real favourite in the region.
It’s not just patrons who agree; in April 2017, the Springs Bistro won the CCV (Community Clubs Victoria) award for ‘Best Regional Bistro’ in the State, recognised for its accessible and produce driven menu, attentive service and comfortable surrounds. It’s relaxed dining at its finest, open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Head chef Danny Brick has been at the helm for two years and has worked hard to create a menu that is both accessible and appealing, while also supporting local suppliers and producers.
Springs Bistro general manager Danny Zernich says: “Creating a menu to appeal to the growing younger market without upsetting the existing clientele was a tricky task. We put a lot of time into listening to our customers and reacting to their feedback. Having a chef that is willing to adapt and work with the team to grow the business has been key to the bistro’s success and I’m so proud of our staff who go above and beyond to provide honest, natural service to our members, locals and tourists alike”.
If you need an excuse to get yourself to the Springs Bistro, there’s no shortage of price-driven specials to entice you. Every Wednesday you can choose between a selection of eight chicken parma flavours or a steak for just $15. Lunch certainly won’t break the bank with a menu that boasts a huge variety of dishes for just $12 and on Fridays you can enjoy happy hour from 6pm to 7pm with discounted pots and a weekly raffle.
To celebrate Seniors Week, Springs Bistro is offering all seniors a discount on any dish from their lunch menu for $11, upon presentation of their Seniors Card. Offer valid from now until 2 August from noon to 2pm.
