Own home no longer a dream for Drysdale lotto winners

A Drysdale couple is looking forward to fulfilling their dream of owning their house outright after taking home $2.7 million in last weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The victorious Victorians held one of the two division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4357, drawn Saturday 22 April 2023, and took home $2,738,653.89.

The winning entry was unregistered, which meant officials from The Lott had no way to contact the ticketholders to break the exciting news and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.

“We’re so excited, but so nervous at the same time,” the winning woman laughed when an official from The Lott confirmed their life-changing lottery loot.

“We’re still trying to wrap our heads around it all.

“There’s been talk about a mystery winner in Drysdale, but we didn’t think it could be us.

“We only discovered the win this morning. Our lives have changed forever. It’s crazy to think that one ticket has delivered a $2.7 million win.”

When asked how they would enjoy their multi-million-dollar windfall, the couple explained it would help them live mortgage-free and be shared with their nearest and dearest.

“It will go towards the mortgage, and the other boring stuff,” she exclaimed.

“We will definitely share the win around. We might even sit on it for 12 months, just so we know what we’re definitely doing,” the winning husband added.

The division one winning entry was purchased at Drysdale Newsagency.

Drysdale Newsagency owner Pam Gillett said she was over the moon to hear her division one winners had claimed their prize.

“We were so excited to hear that we had sold a division one winning entry in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw,” she said.

“This is my first division one winning entry since taking over the newsagency, so it’s very exciting for my team and I.

“We have already started to decorate the outlet and have shared the excitement with our customers in-store and on our business social media channels.

“Our customers have expressed their excitement with us with the hope that they’re holding the division one winning entry.

“Congratulations to the local winners and we wish them all the best with their division one prize.”
