Star Nippers Pippi McIntyre and James Leahy were the toasts of the Ocean Grove SLSC after their individual honours at Life Saving Victoria Junior State Championships at the weekend.
The ace young locals were competing at the end of the season finale in Lorne on February 23 and February 24.
James Leahy won Best Male Water Competitor of the Year, while Pippi McIntyre was crowned Best Female Beach Competitor of the Year across the 2018/19 season.
At Lorne, Pippi won a gold medal in the Under 13 Beach Sprint, while James collected a bronze in the Under 13 Boys Iron.
“Can’t think of two more deserving kids to win this achievement,” Ocean Grove SLSC Junior Activities Manager Darren Ball said.
