Kayaker comes forward

The owner of an abandoned kayak found off Clifton Springs yesterday has come forward.

Water Police and a police chopper had been searching off Beach Point Road at Clifton Springs after fisherman found the kayak about 150 metres off the coast.

The khaki-coloured Aqua Yak kayak had three fishing rods attached to it.

No paddle was located and nobody had been reported missing.

The owner came forward later yesterday afternoon.
