Welcome to the fourth year of the Bellarine Writing Competition.

Over the past four years, the competition has grown with more entries each time.

Organisers are inviting any newcomer plus any previous entrant to have a go this year.

Over the three years there have been about 200 entrants for the five topics presented each year.

You can enter for every topic if you wish.

A couple of writers have published books and several are now in the process of writing a novel.

Every entry will receive a written comment to encourage and hopefully enhance their writing.

The winner of each topic will receive $200 and will go into the grand final where the overall first prize is $1000.

The first topic this year is ‘Too late’.

Entrants can write up to 750 words (not more) and must include a phone number with their entry.

Entries to barrysproull@gmail.com by March 11.

The winner will have their story published in the Voice and will be notified by phone by March 14.
