Congratulations to Chloe Thompson and Abby Richardson. Both girls took hat-tricks in today’s all-Ocean Grove Under 15 girls cricket semi-final at Ray Menzies Oval.
Abby took a stunning 6/12 which included a double hat-trick, while Chloe bowled three batters in a row on her way to 3/21.
It was a great game with OG White winning over OG Red and will progress through to the grand final next weekend against Leopold.
Well done to all involved. From where these girls have come from since the start of the season to the excellent standard of this afternoon’s cricket is quite astonishing.
Editor’s note: The author of this has been trying for a hat-trick without success for 35 years of playing cricket and was chuffed to see two youngsters achieve the goal this afternoon.
