Multimillion dollar funding

Our Lady Star of the Sea Primary School stands to benefit from funding regardless of who is elected later this month.

Our Lady Star of the Sea Primary School stands to gain a multimillion dollar funding grant regardless of who is successful in the upcoming state election.

After Lisa Neville and the Labor Party announced a $2 million upgrade for the privately run Catholic school, Brian McKiterick and the Liberal Party announced a $3 million upgrade.

Ms Neville announced a $2 million contribution to the $3 million project, which would include the construction of multi-purpose centre including three general learning areas, collaborative area, staff work space, small hall space, storage, extend carpark.

“Families in Ocean Grove deserve a first class education in first class facilities and these upgrades will make sure they do,” Ms Neville said.

However Mr McKiterick announced a $3 million upgrade for the same purposes as Ms Neville.

“In a growing area such as Ocean Grove, students from Our Lady of the Sea Star Primary School will greatly benefit from the Liberal Nationals upgrade,” Mr McKiterick said.

“Local families have praised Our Lady Star of the Sea as a wonderful school and this upgrade will ensure that students have the very best facilities.”
