Christian College Bellarine has introduced play-based learning areas in both Prep classrooms, and through this the children have become active participants in their learning, both physically and mentally.
They have discovered over time that children understand the world around them by being physical, not just learning through the processes of their mind.
Exploring, creating, and dramatising have been approached with great enthusiasm while the children learn.
This gentle approach has eased the transition from kindergarten to school, creating confident, inquisitive students who are having fun while exploring their learning. It has helped establish friendships that will flourish throughout the year, as social interaction and respect for each other’s learning is essential.
Engaged, motivated and inspired learning
