Ocean Grove defeated Geelong Amateur by a point in the final round of the season to go into next week’s finals, full of confidence.
The Grubbers finished third on the ladder and will meet Drysdale this Saturday in a qualifying final.
Ammos led by two points at quarter and half time before Ocean Grove took a nine-point lead into the final quarter before running out winners, 7.5(47) to 6.10(46).
Cory Connor booted three goals to take his tally to 44 for the year while other good players were Jacob Talarico, Craig Goodger, Hamish Cunningham, Jack Rawlings, Jack Brew and Bryn D’Arcy.
Ammos will face Barwon Heads in the elimination final this Sunday.
