A fair of fresh food

Surfside Primary School’s major fundraiser is always a terrific community event.

The Ocean Grove school’s Fresh Food Fair promises a festive evening of food, music, student class market stalls, rides and much more.

The fair kicks off with afternoon tea featuring a traditional cake stall, the whimsical Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, and an array of sweet treats from cupcakes and milkshakes to popcorn, chocolates and lollies.

Talented students and dedicated volunteers have been cooking up a delicious menu that includes cookies, sausage rolls, soups, potato and kale pastries, curries, flatbreads and dumplings.

Be entertained by the Surfside Primary School band, along with performances from Agency Black, Caught in the Crossfire, Ange Rogers, The Foundation Fab Four, and Mr Morzinek and friends and our always-popular Surfside’s Got Talent showcase.

“The Surfside Primary School Fresh Food Fair is more than just a fundraiser – it’s the biggest event on our school calendar,” organiser Stacey O’Keefe said.

“This celebration brings together our school and the wider community to highlight our students, our school, and our shared commitment to sustainability and local produce. Expect an evening bursting with food, music, games, market stalls, and endless fun for all ages”

Funds raised from the fair support the school’s award-winning Kitchen and Garden program, giving students hands-on experiences in cooking and gardening.

Surfside Primary School’s Fresh Food Fair is at the school’s John Dory Drive, Ocean Grove, location on Friday 7 November from 3.15pm to 7.30pm.
