Another season of Ocean Grove Community Bowls Challenge wrapped on earlier this month.
The 19th running of the challenge, which pits novice lawn bowlers from local businesses against each other in a fun environment, had 28 teams competing for the Ocean Grove Voice Trophy over a period of four consecutive Monday evenings..
After three weeks there were only four undefeated teams.
The four teams played off in the semi-finals.
One of the original teams in the competition Ocean Grove Badminton defeated Collendina Cobras and Barwon Heads Tennis Club beat The Grubbers in the other semi.
The final saw Ocean Grove Badminton comfortably defeat Barwon Heads Tennis Club to win their first Ocean Grove Voice Trophy.
Members of the winning team were Michael Hatton, Kerry Davis, Tara Trott and Lyn Swan.
Ocean Grove Bowling Club was generously supported by Neale Walter (Robert Oakley Wines), Jean Cowley (IGA), Ocean Grove Voice and Ocean Grove All Makes.
