Patrice Nelson – Derryn Hinch’s Justice Party

Corangamite counts down

DERRYN Hinch’s Justice Party is unique, in that we are more of a non-political, political party.
I am standing for the seat of Corangamite because all issues we are so passionate about are extremely relevant within this electorate including Ocean Grove. Combating crime and ensuring offenders are properly supervised and rehabilitated are major issues all over this electorate.
One – which is out of control – is the ice epidemic which in turn has led to a surge in robberies and violent crime, and the destruction of families within Ocean Grove and the surrounding areas. I am passionate about tackling this disease within the community, and believe prevention is better than cure.
Organisations such as Foundation 61, on the outskirts of Geelong provide excellent live in facilities battling such addictions as ice, however are struggling to cope given the promise of millions in funding from the State Government never happened. This is a Federal issue and funding should also come from them.
Bail reform, parole reform, equal rights, family law reform and the establishment of a national sex register for convicted sex offenders are all serious issues which affect every person in Corangamite.
By electing me as your representative, you’ll have a voice in Parliament which promises to tackle the issues that other governments have ignored.
Ms Nelson did not provide answers to the Voice’s additional questions.
