Coaches replacing trains on Geelong line

Coaches are replacing some Geelong Line trains between Lara and Waurn Ponds, due to a damaged boom gate at the Station Street level crossing in North Shore.

V/Line asks passengers to check station platform displays, listen for announcements, and allow up to 90 minutes extra for their journey.

Some other services will not run this afternoon, with details available on the PTV website.

Services will resume the normal timetable when repairs are complete and it’s safe to do so.

Motorists are asked to be vigilant for pedestrians and extra buses near stations along the Geelong Line.

The VicRoads signals team will monitor conditions and will adjust traffic lights as needed to assist with bus movements in the area.

Real-time traffic conditions are available at traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au or via the VicTraffic mobile app. The latest public transport information and network status is available at ptv.vic.gov.au or in the PTV mobile app.
