Ocean Grove’s community will be able to recover from the excitement of Christmas and New Year’s celebrations with the Tranquility at Twilight Fair.
Ocean Grove Park will host a lineup of live music and kids’ entertainment, more than 70 market stalls, and a wide variety of food trucks and stalls.
Stall coordinator Bec Abram said the fair was a family-oriented night of entertainment for the whole community.
“We’re looking to showcase what we have on the Bellarine, so a lot of talent on the stage are local bands, and a lot of the stall holders are local,” she said.
“What we find is that a lot of people will spend the day at the beach if the weather is good, and then it’s a good opportunity to come in to grab something to eat and have a look around.”
Ms Abram said funds raised through the event would go towards helping maintain Ocean Grove Park, which was a “really valued community space”.
“It helps support maintaining the park, so then we can enjoy it all year round, and then the wider community can really enjoy it,” she said.
“We couldn’t run this event without the help of the volunteers, and the biggest asset we have is the people who volunteer their time and effort leading up to all year round.”
People are encouraged to bring a chair, picnic rug and water bottle to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, with dogs allowed while on lead.
The fair will run from 4pm to 9pm on Saturday 3 January, with entry $10 for adults and free for children under 16.
