Tis the season

Safe LED candles will be used at next month''s Carols in the Park.

Capital City quality Carols in Ocean Grove is made possible this year with the Geelong Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Hayden Dinse and featuring the Geelong Harmony Chorus.

Gates will open this year at 5pm to allow for families to grab a snag from the sausage sizzle or a delicious pancake, which were a huge hit last year.

Get ready to see our primary schools performing on stage. There will be all the carols you love, sung by leading local artists and special performances that will surprise and delight with the region’s popular radio personality Mark Hyland as master of ceremonies.

Thanks to the support of Ocean Grove Connected Communities, safe LED candles will again be available at each of the entry gates.

Locals are also invited to bring an unwrapped gift to put under the giant Christmas tree, which will be distributed to needy children by Cottage by the Sea.

The much-loved Carols in the Park continues to be the largest community gathering of the year, with more than 3000 people attending last year’s event.

Mark your calendars and diaries for 7pm Sunday 9 December at Ocean Grove Park. For more information, visit www.oceangrovecarols.org or the carols Facebook site.
