My Geelong with Megan Smith

Megan Smith is a Geelong resident and has spent most of her life within the region. She spoke to Jena Carr about what she liked about living in Geelong.

What is your connection to Geelong?

I was born here and have attended school and university locally. I have amazing family and friends across this region too.

What do you like about where you live?

I love the close proximity to so many places. It is only 20 minutes to the beach and 20 minutes to the city. We are also surrounded by fantastic educational and employment opportunities.

What, if anything, would you change about where you live?

Where we live is lacking in safe road crossings. Children are forced to cross major roads without a safety zone.

Where is your favourite place to spend time?

I love to be anywhere with family. We are spoilt for choice.

What is something people may not know about you?

I can’t play sports.
