Bellarine Ward Councillor Stephanie Asher joined Member for Corangamite Sarah Henderson, local traders and members from the Ocean Grove Business Association to inspect new CCTV cameras in Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads.
Seventeen cameras have been installed in the main shopping strips of each area – 11 on The Terrace, Ocean Grove, and six on Hitchcock Avenue, Barwon Heads, thanks to the joint Federal Government and City project.

Works to improve safety at a notorious Ocean Grove intersection will begin in August.
Traffic lights will be installed at the Orton Street and Presidents Avenue intersection which almost claimed the life of 18-year-old motorcyclist Tyler Peace, after a collision with a car in April 2018.

Crime in Greater Geelong has decreased by 6.1 per cent in the 12 months to March 31, according to data released by the Crime Statistics Agency.
Incidents of crime fell by almost 1000 in the region in the 12 months ending on March 31, 2022.
