Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after drugs were allegedly seized in Drysdale yesterday.
Officers were called to a shop in Hancock Street after reports a man was seen with what appeared to be a firearm about 5pm on 12 October.
No threats were made and the man left the premises.
A 48-year-old Drysdale man was arrested at a residential property in Elgin Street shortly afterwards.
Police searched the property where it is alleged a small cannabis crop was located and seized.
The Drysdale man was charged with cultivating cannabis and possess cannabis.
He was bailed to appear at the Geelong Magistrates Court today.
