We’re on for NBN

THE National Broadband Network (NBN) has hit Ocean Grove and it’s time to get up to speed.
Troy Wiseman is in charge of getting Grovers connected with his brand new Telstra NBN Sales Centre – and there’s a bonus for customers who sign on.
Troy is giving a donation for every connection back to the community.
“We’re giving a donation of every successful NBN connection,” he said.
“I just want to give back to people who support me. It’s more about the local presence here.”
More than 3200 homes and businesses in Ocean Grove are now eligible to connect to the NBN network.
Telstra Country Wide area general manager for Western Victoria Steve Tinker said the launch of Telstra services on the NBN network around Ocean Grove would give locals the opportunity to use a variety of new and emerging technologies.
“The introduction of the NBN network in Ocean Grove marks the beginning of a new brilliantly connected era for locals,” Mr Tinker said.
Mr Tinker said Telstra staff had been gearing up for the launch for several months with local technicians and store staff, including those at the new Telstra NBN Sales Centre in Ocean Grove receiving special training to help residents seamlessly transition to the NBN network.
“We are aiming to ensure the process is simple for those looking to sign up with Telstra. One call to our dedicated customer service centre team and we can help take care of the rest.”
The new shop, at Shop 1 71-73 The Parade (where Pabs Kebabs used to be), has a team that is ready to handle locals’ needs for the NBN.
“I’ve got a team behind the scenes making sure that all orders go through the sales centre so we can manage it locally,” Troy said.
