PEOPLE affected by Parkinson’s Disease always have a place to go to in Ocean Grove.
Each month, a hardy and welcoming group of locals support each other under the guise of the Bellarine (Ocean Grove) Parkinson’s Support Group.
And later this month, several members will be competing in the Walk in the Park event in Melbourne.
Rob Hurley, Martin Brown, Mike Atkinson and Kaye Burndt will all take part in the event, at Federation Square on 28 August.
The quartet are all looking for donations. Go to melbourne.parkinsonswalk.com.au or contact Rob on 5258 1564.
The walk is to celebrate and support people with Parkinson’s and winds its way along the bank of the Yarra River bringing sufferers, families, friends, carers and health professionals together.
The support group is held on the second Wednesday of the month, from 1pm, at the Church is Christ hall on Tareeda Way, Ocean Grove. Everyone is welcome.
