Cases surge in Ocean Grove

Active COVID cases in Ocean Grove escalated in the past 24 hours.

Ocean Grove has 98 active cases today, an increase of 18 from yesterday.

Cases had remained steady between 70 and 80 for around two weeks, but Ocean Grove received 20 new cases overnight.

There have been 2437 recorded cases since the pandemic began.

Barwon Heads has 23 active cases, Clifton Springs, Curlewis, Drysdale and Wallington has 143 (up 10 from yesterday), Indented Head, Portarlington and St Leonards has 39 (an increase of eight) while Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff has 22.

Cases in Armstrong Creek rose to 144 with 33 new cases today.

Statewide there were 7043 new cases today with 203 in hospital and 29 in ICU.
