A whole hub of Christmas

Free fun activities are on offer in Central Geelong this holiday season, including Christmas crafts, interactive Christmas windows, morning tea with Santa, free giveaways, school Christmas trees and roving entertainment.

Mayor Stephanie Asher said the new Love Central Geelong Christmas Hub in Little Malop Central and the Christmas in Geelong website provide all the information you need to enjoy festive fun in Central Geelong.

“More than 40 locations feature in this year’s Christmas activations, so we’d love to see families celebrating all the free attractions on offer, particularly in the heart of the City,” the mayor said.

“Whether it’s traditional attractions like our Floating Christmas Tree, Projections, the School Christmas Trees, or some exciting new elements like the interactive windows and Giant Selfie Trail, there’s something for everyone in Central Geelong.”

Visitors to the Love Central Geelong Christmas Hub can create a free magic wand to activate a series of Christmas windows on offer in Central Geelong until Friday 31 December.

“The Christmas windows tell a fabulous Christmas story and can be enjoyed at six Central Geelong locations,” mayor Asher said.

“While these festive activations bring plenty of Christmas cheer, we also hope they help bring plenty of customers for Central Geelong businesses, who need our support more than ever.”

The City is offering a free gift to anyone who spends $30 in one day at any Central Geelong business between Wednesday 1 to Tuesday 23 December.

Present your receipts in person at the Love Central Geelong Christmas Caravan to receive a free gift and enter the weekly prize draw to win $500 towards your Christmas shopping.

The Christmas Caravan is located at Little Malop Central, adjacent to the Love Central Geelong Christmas Hub.
