Man injured in skydiving accident

A man has been airlifted to hospital after he was seriously injured in a skydiving accident over the weekend.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics had been called to the incident at Torquay

Airport on Blackgate Road just before 5pm on Sunday, February 4.

“A man believed to be in his 30s was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition with lower body injuries,” they said.

The spokesperson said it was understood that the man had been skydiving solo.
