Fatal accident at Connewarre

Police are investigating a fatal collision that has claimed the life of a man in Connewarre yesterday.

It is believed a Hyundai sedan collided head-on with a Holden sedan on Barwon Heads Road near Breamlea Road about 1.30pm.

The male driver of the Hyundai, and sole occupant, died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

The male driver of the Holden was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
