Borough of Queenscliffe councillors voted to end chief executive Martin Gill’s contract early after they advised they did not believe he was the person to take the organisation in their preferred strategic direction.
The state government confirmed Queenscliff Music Festival, held in November for the past 27 years, would continue to receive critical funding for at least another two years through the Regional Events Fund.
