Ocean Grove based BrewiColo Brewing Co triumphed at the Australian International Beer Awards with all beers entered taking home awards.
The Australian International Beer Awards inspire and celebrate excellence in brewing, beer packaging design, and beer media. Running for 30 years with a respected panel of 70 international judges the awards aim to celebrate the upmost prestigious of their craft.
With over 350 breweries worldwide submitting entries, BrewiColo is ecstatic that their Maqo Wiwi (Mango Sour) was awarded gold and nominated for the champion trophy in the best fruit beer category.
“Being awarded a gold in the best fruit beer category is a true honour and to be nominated for the champion trophy is mind blowing,” head brewer and founder Chilla Tuicolo said.
“The recognition from the judges hits very close to home with the maqo (mango) being the national fruit of my heritage – Fiji.
“We started BrewiColo to deliver an experience where our Brewis would encompass customers with warmth and relaxation – true Fijian traits so I couldn’t be prouder to be awarded gold for the Maqo Wiwi.”
Headspin IPL, Brewi Juice IPA and Kofe Brown Ale all took out bronze in their respective categories.
