Ocean Grove Barwon Heads Lions Club held a fund-raising event at Ocean Grove Bowling Club with more than 200 supporting the cause for Muscular Dystrophy.
More than $9400 was raised for Muscular Dystrophy Australia with people enjoying the silent auction and main auction items led by local auctioneer Ian Dart.
Around 80 local businesses and individuals donated goods and services.
John Wood had the audience involved in joke telling, spelling competitions as well as the usual trivia questions on movies and sporting events.
Locals John and Ros Claringbold have entered the 2017 ChallengeMD! Goldfields Ride, which is a bike ride of more than 400km for MD.
