Norlane man dies in evening crash

A Norlane man has died after his car hit a tree yesterday evening.

The 32-year-old was travelling along the Hamilton Highway, west of Geelong, just after 8.30pm on Thursday, April 3, when his vehicle left the road and struck a tree.

The driver died at the scene and was the only occupant and vehicle involved in the crash. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated by police.

The death brings the number of lives lost on the state’s roads to 75 this year, according to Victoria Police’s current provisional lives lost tally.
