A man was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital this afternoon after an incident at an Ocean Grove beach.
“A male has been taken (to hospital) as a precautionary measure as a result of a wave,” a Bellarine police spokesperson told the Voice.
The police spokesperson said the man ran into trouble after encountering a wave while at the beach.
The helicopter landed at Memorial Reserve in Ocean Grove and departed just before 5pm. The man was transported by ambulance from the beach to Memorial Reserve.
