Ocean Grove awoke to a bizarre natural phenomenon on the first day of the month, with sea fog rolling in to envelop the town.
Local Daniel Tyrrell captured the moment brilliantly. The fog hung around for most of the morning.
Sea fog occurs with the presence of sea spray and microscopic airborne salt crystals. Over the ocean surface, the most common particles are salt from salt spray produced by breaking waves.
