Students from Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic School visited residents of

Deborah Cheetham Retirement Village in Ocean Grove to spread some Christmas cheer.

A total of 95 Grade 2 students from the Ocean Grove school serenaded the residents with merry melodies and helped spread the spirit of the season.

The students showcased their talents and brought the joy of classic carols to dementia care residents.

Ryman’s regional operations manager Eileen Kielty said the carols event was a beautiful representation of the magic of the festive season for young and old alike.

“The delight on the faces of the children and our residents during the carols event showed how important intergenerational connections are and how Christmas can be a time of joy no matter your age,” she said.
