Big day at the Hawks’ nest

It’s Big Freeze time with Drysdale hosting’s Geelong’s first ever Big Freeze to help fight MND.

While the pregame entertainment will be spectacular, it could get very ugly on the field.

Drysdale remains unbeaten while Port has not won a game and has conceded 78 goals the past two outings.

Torquay will be tested by an improved Anglesea, but the Tigers are too good to let this one slip.

The match of the round will be at Mount Moriac Reserve where third placed Barwon Heads travels to take fourth place Modewarre.

Barwon Heads put in its best performance of the season the first time these two sides met and it will take another big effort to get over Modda at home, but it’s a challenge I think they are up to.

On paper Queenscliff should beat Ocean Grove, but I have a feeling the Grubbers are capable of causing an upset.

Still, the Coutas need these four points to stay in fifth place and I think they get over the line, just.

Newcomb hosts Geelong Amateur.

Ammos need to win to keep in touch with the top five while Newcomb will look to launch an unlikely finals spot in the second half of the season.
