Sleep under the stars in stunning hike-in campsites that reward you with a beauty of their own, or opt for creature comforts in off-walk accommodation.

The astounding, ever-changing scenery and remote wilderness of the Great Ocean Walk will fix itself in your heart and feed your soul. Take your time and unlock the magic.

Discover the region’s diversity of plants, animals and scenery. Weave your way through tall forests, coastal heathlands and beside rocky shore platforms. Cross creeks and rivers and pass above wild-rocky shores and deserted beaches with panoramic views from windswept cliff-tops.

Apollo Bay sets the mood as the start-off point, passing through the Great Otway National Park and Port Campbell National Park, while the stunning 12 Apostles mark the endpoint. As you weave through remote locales with names like Moonlight Head and Devil’s Kitchen, the trail’s thread draws you from one eco ‘room’ to the next – from rocky clifftop to towering forest, from deserted beach to coastal heathland and sheltered estuary teeming with diversity.

In its entirety, the Great Ocean Walk is an eight-day trek of over 100 kilometres where every day is different. Your journey is your own. Step out into the adventure of a lifetime on a multi-day hike, or ease into the tranquility of nature with a gentle day-walk. Pitch your tent at remote campsites or unwind in luxury accommodation.
