Community sport will not resume this weekend.
Due to the Victorian government announcing a seven-day extension to the current lockdown across the state, scheduled to end at 11:59pm on Tuesday July 27, all community football and netball matches, training and Auskick will not be permitted to take place in Victoria during this time, as per state government restrictions and until further advised.
AFL Barwon said it would continue to work with the current information at hand and will look to provide an update on the remaining season fixtures and dates at the earliest possible convenience.
AFL Barwon will continue to work closely with AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria and will be guided by the advice from the government and health authorities.
AFL Barwon will update stakeholders with any new information regarding restrictions and protocols for community football and netball, when available.
