Ocean Grove defeated Modewarre by 19 goals in Bellarine Netball League A Grade on Saturday.

Kelsey Ollis was superb in defence while Rhiannon Whitson and Rebecca O’Neill (45 goals) were good in the 53 to 34 win.

Ocean Grove is guaranteed at least third spot come finals time while Modda stayed in fifth spot, a game and a half clear of Barwon Heads with two rounds to play.

Anglesea pipped Drysdale by two goals in an upset.

Brylee Schache, Maddy Allan and Hannah Broughton led the way in the 36 to 34 win.

Barwon Heads saw its finals hopes pretty much slip away with a 35 to 62 loss to powerhouse Geelong Amateur.

Ammos produced a stunning first quarter that saw it lead 20 to 6 with Celeste Mutton best on court.

Queenscliff and Portarlington played out a thrilling tie, ending on 41 goals each.

Neither side can make finals.

Kaitlin Gladman, Josie Maher and Bridey McElligott were best for the Coutas.

Torquay brushed past Newcomb to keep its minor premiership chances alive.
