Ocean Grove Cobras Walter defeated St Joseph’s to claim the Under 14 Division 1 premiership on Saturday.
The Cobras prevailed in a tight contest, 8.2(50) to 5.4(34).
The Cobras led by a goal at quarter time, seven points at half time and 11 points at the last break.
The scene was set for an epic last term, but it turned into a slog with Ocean Grove scoring one goal and Joeys were goalless.
Byron Hensford was the star with three goals while Jackson de Jong booted two.
Harrison Wilde, Jonathon Punchard, Ned Badrock, Haydan Cooper and Zach Casamento were among the team’s best.
