Disappointing loss to Ocean Grove

OCEAN GROVE JUNIOR CRICKET
Under 17: St Peters 7/201 def Ocean Grove 145
Ocean Grove travelled to St Peters for their Round 7 clash.
St Peters batted first and made a competitive 7/201.
Noah DeBruijn was the best of the bowlers with 4/34 from his 12 overs. Charlie Walter (1/20 off 10 overs) and Flynn Hardiman (1/23 off 10 overs) were the other wicket takers, while Max Sutton took four catches behind the stumps.
In reply Ocean Grove were bowled out for a disappointing 145.
Max Sutton top scored again with 47 and Charlie Walter batted well making 38.
Lleyton Woolley (18) and Harry Tregenza (17) made good contributions, but in the end some good bowling and fielding by St Peters earned them the win.
Under 13: Ocean Grove Swans 2/272 def Wallington/Drysdale 8/173
Round 7 saw the Ocean Grove Swans host Wallington/Drysdale at Memorial Reserve.
Wallington/Drysdale were the first team to have a hit and began well putting on 18 for the first wicket.
Enter Merick Platt 1/10, Toby Gill 1/12 and Tash Higgins 1/14, and all of a sudden Wallington/Drysdale were in deep trouble at 3/32.
A great fourth wicket stand saw Wallington/Drysdale in a good position at 4/120.
The game then turned around completely with quick wickets to Fletch Keck 2/16, Cody McSween 1/12, Sax Copeland 1/27 and Jack Newland 1/19, which saw the Wallington/Drysdale team all out for 173.
The Ocean Grove Swans began the run chase tentatively losing the first wicket for 14 runs.
A solid second wicket partnership between Fletch Keck (31) and Merrick Platt (25) started a flood of runs for the Swans.
The standouts in the middle order were Tahj Wirth (28), Luke Ewart (28), Cody McSween (29) and Sax Copeland (21).
Another terrific performance from the Swans posting their best score of the year 2/272.
