Ocean Grove takes on Geelong Amateur this weekend in a blockbuster A Grade match that could decide top spot.

Ocean Grove was tested against seventh placed Modewarre on Saturday, but got home 53 to 40 while Ammos defeated Barwon Heads 65 to 35 in another brilliant performance.

Queenscliff and Newcomb remain locked in a battle for the double chance.

Their contest on the weekend ended in a 53-all draw.

Queenscliff led by as much as 11 goals at the half-time break, but the Power stormed back into the contest with a 19 to nine goal third term.

Both sides are on 38 points with the Coutas having a slightly better percentage.

Torquay put a two-game gap between it and Anglesea in the battle for fifth place with a 62 to 32 win.

Sarah Butler and Kiralee Collings were best for the Tigers while Amelia Jarvis and Breda O’Kane were best for the Seas.

Portarlington pretty much handed Drysdale the wooden spoon with a 57 to 34 win.

The Dees now have a two-game gap on the Hawks.

Candice Bull scored 42 goals for Port while wing attack Aleisha Walters was best for Drysdale.
