Huge task ahead for Grove

Ocean Grove will be hoping to cause the upset of the season when it takes on the undefeated Anglesea in a Bellarine Peninsula Cricket Association A1 Grade semi-final tomorrow.

Grove finished fourth on the ladder and goes into the game as rank underdogs, especially on the back of a disappointing performance last week against Queenscliff.

Anglesea is stacked with talent with the best attack in the competition and the best batting line-up.

Grove’s best hope of winning is to break the prolific opening partnership of Ned Cooper and Tyron Norman.

But even then, Brett Harding, Ash Poulton and Dale Kerr loom as dangermen.

Jan Juc hosts Queenscliff in the other semi.

The Coutas were ultra impressive against Ocean Grove last week with Tim Frankenburg and Lachie Kidd compiling their second consecutive opening partnership.

Jan Juc needs runs from Ben Grinter and Jordan Withers and if star quick Nicky Smith is available, the Sharks could win their way into a grand final.
