OGCC Orange (100) def Grovedale Ford (20)
An early start for an away game did not deter the Cobra boys who led from the front at every effort which resulted in plenty of goals for the game. Lots of unselfish play and terrific team work was on display by the whole Cobra team.
OGCC White (72) def Grovedale Waldron (38)
The boys put together another terrific team display with every player being involved at various stages through the game. The ball movement and execution was exceptional for Under 10 football. Encouragement awards went to Lachie Morrow, Ayden Neville and Xavier Morgan. The highlight of the game was Xavier Morgan’s effort to take a contested mark and recover the ball in a contest at ground level and kick the goal of the day.
OGCC Blue (64) def Leopold Dahlhaus (13)
A great team effort by these young Cobras against a strong Leopold outfit who were much better than the scoreline suggests. Plenty of sharing the ball around to gain advantage in the mid, forward, and back zones by the Cobras. Also the trademark intensity at each contest which is quickly becoming a recognisable and pleasing character trait of these boys. Award winners were Hamish Stow, Lenny Allen, Tiger Turnley, Mitchell Charleston and Max McGuane.

Round 3 saw an in form Orange team travel to Grovedale for an intense Sunday showdown. Grovey hit hard for three but couldn’t contain a determined and much smaller Snake side in the last. Plenty of courage from Oscar Kopec-Teague long link ups from Jake Connellan, Shay Kilpratick played like a guru seemed to have it on a string. Outstanding pressure and defence work from Jack Davies and Jayden Picket couldn’t dampen Grovedale’s early run. Excellent tagging and pressure work from Riley Hynson.
OGCC White (45) def Torquay Milliken (44)
White faced a well drilled Torquay who applied great physical pressure early. Excellent on ball and defence by Rory Phillips and Sam Leonard limited Torquay’s scoring. The team then fought back and ran out winners with fantastic efforts by everyone. Awards to James Stow, Lachie Appleyard, Lachie Allan, Liam Williamson, Kyan Bowers and Ollie Moran.
OGCC Blue (10) def by Leopold Brown (36)
A home game at the Snakepit saw a four-quarter effort by the team against a determined Leopold team, who took their chances. The Cobra boys put in some terrific defensive work to make it a competitive game.

On a wintery day that turned into a nailbiter in the dying minutes, the Cobra boys came out on top in the end. The match had it all, strong marking, tough tackles and stand out performances by the leadership group. At half time the Joeys boys were in front and it was time to knuckle down to the task ahead. With a strong coaching direction and the breeze behind them the boys responded. Awards to Brodie Muscat, Fletch Keck, Kye Annand, Austin Hamilton, Darcy Pearson and Henry Greenwood.
OGCC 2 (66) def Corio (56)
In what was always going to be a tough game, the Cobra boys turned up to play in what was a cracking game of football. First to the contest was the theme for the day and with every effort the boys grew with confidence and never looked back.
