Rocking the 70s at the shed

The Glitter Gang are celebrating the 30th anniversary of pulling on the jumpsuits and platform heels with a special milestone birthday at the Potato Shed.

Join Barry Glamour (guitar, vox), Billy Hero (drums), Marsha Brady (guitar, vox), Bobby Dazzler (bass) and Roland Bolan (keys; vox) as they prance and you boogie to the hot beat of the greatest hits of the 70s.

If you are a certain age, you will know every word to every song they play. It’ll be like watching Countdown, except you don’t need to be told by Molly Meldrum to ‘do yourself a favour’.

In case you need reminding, featured songs include ‘Are You Old Enough’, ‘Ballroom Blitz’, ‘Billy Don’t be a Hero’, ‘Boney Maroney’, ‘Bye Bye Baby’, ‘Can’t Stop Myself from Loving You’, ‘Coo Ca Choo’ and everything in between, all the way through to ‘Surrender’, ‘Whatever you Want’ and ‘Yesterday’s Hero’.

Join in the action by coming dressed in your best 70s gear (or an approximation of, if the Wranglers are a bit tight) and be in the running for some great prizes and give-aways. BYO picnic rug and food – the new outdoor bar will be open for you to buy drinks at bar prices.

Help bring the inaugural Potato Shed Summer Series to a glittering end as the Glitter Gang celebrate their unique and enduring homage to the hits of your youth from 7pm Saturday 29 January.
