Collendina began the BPCA season in style with a win against Drysdale to open the A2 Grade season.

The Cobras sent Drysdale in on a cool day and it paid dividends. The Hawks were all out in the final over for 139.

Lochie Wilson top scored with 28, but it was the wily medium pace of Dean Britt that kept things in check. Britt took 4/23 from eight tidy overs and was well supported by youngster Gus Peters (3/35).

The Cobras made easy work of a tricky chase, getting the runs four down with nine overs in hand.

Ben Ricardo (30), Jack Every (29 not out), Stan Grazotis (27 not out) and Aidan Foard (25) all played their roles in the win.

In B2 Grade, Inverleigh defeated Collendina after making 7/133 batting first.

Three wickets each to Zach Muir and Harrisyn Wingrave gave the Cobras a fighting chance.

Collendina at one stage was 3/3 early before Dave Treharne (27 not out), Jackson de Jong (24) and Chris Thompson (23) got things back on track, but when the overs ran out, the score stood at 9/114.

Garry Wingrave smacked 12 fours and four sixes in C Grade to lead Collendina to a win against Drysdale.

Wingrave made 91 in the final total of 7/167.

Drysdale replied with 6/160 with Shane Mcintosh taking three wickets and Paul Wursthorn capped off a good game with 1/18 from eight overs to go with his 25 earlier in the day.
