Barwon Heads won its way through to the Bellarine Football League second-semi final with a 14-point win against Drysdale at Portarlington on Saturday.
It was the first time the Seagulls have beaten the Hawks in three encounters this season.
The Heads will now meet Torquay for the right to play in the grand final, while Drysdale has another chance against Modewarre this week.
It was a frantic, high-scoring game with 11 goals scored in the first term.
The Seagulls led by five, 14 and eight points at each break before running out winners, 17.8(110) to 14.12(96) winners.
Tall forward Nathan Brown and small Sammy Baker booted four each for the Gulls while Tom Ruggles and Mat Hebbard kicked three each for the Hawks.
Drysdale now meets Modewarre in a first-semi final after the Warriors beat Geelong Amateur by nine points in the elimination final.
Modda led by 29 points at the first break and a big win looked likely, but Ammos hit back and were within striking distance for the majority of the game.
In the reserves, Drysdale squeezed past Ocean Grove to win the qualifying final by 13 points and will take on Torquay in the second-semi.
Geelong Amateur will meet Ocean Grove in the first-semi after beating Barwon Heads by 17 points.
