This week’s Bellarine Football League match of the round looks like being played out at Howard Harmer Oval where the home side, Barwon Heads, takes on Modewarre.
Modda are unbeaten and the Seagulls have just one win to start the season.
A big home crowd is expected and the Heads will need the crowd on the hill in full voice.
Torquay should have no problem accounting for Anglesea, although the Seas have shown some good signs.
At the moment it’s a matter who can even get close to the Tigers, though.
Newcomb has a chance to consolidate a spot in the five when it meets Geelong Amateur.
Both sides match up well and this could well be the closest game of the round.
A young and buoyant Queenscliff hosts Ocean Grove.
Ocean Grove desperately needs to get onto the winner’s list or the season will start to slip away.
Queenscliff pushed Drysdale all the way last week and looks to be the most improved side this season.
The traditional Anzac Day clash between Portarlington and Drysdale will be held at Portarlington this year.
The Hawks should have a healthy win, but Port will be keen to impress after a disappointing showing against Torquay last week after some early season promising signs.
