Armstrong Creek and Anglesea will do battle in tomorrow’s BPCA B1 Grade final at Barwon Heads.
Anglesea’s strong batting line up will be led by Darcy Cooper (339 runs this season), Jarryd McGuane (277) and Stephen Jacomovic (241).
Chris Marsiglio has 409 runs for Armstrong Creek and will be a key wicket.
Left-arm spinner Chris Hornsey is a vital player for Anglesea, having taken 24 wickets while Ryan Parkinson is Armstrong Creek’s leading wicket taker with 21.
In B2 Grade, Portarlington takes on St Leonards at Drysdale.
These two sides have been the standouts all season. Both teams bowl well.
Port is led by the mercurial Paul McGrath (665 runs and 18 wickets) while Jamie Morgan has 19 wickets.
St Leonards’ leading wicket taker is an unlikely one in Nick Kyrou, who hasn’t done much bowling prior to this season. He has 23 while seamer Anthony Ward has 21.
Adam Bonner has been consistent at the top of the order for the Saints with 346 runs and if he can make runs, his side is in with a huge chance.
In C Grade, Ocean Grove meets Portarlington at Queenscliff.
Ocean Grove will go in as favourites with Greg Scarpa (335 runs) while Jaydip Patel has 398 runs across B and C Grades. Darren Craig is more than capable with bat and ball.
Cameron Gourley has three centuries for Port this season along with 571 runs while Jason Stewart is a crafty all-rounder.
In D Grade, Jan Juc plays Queenscliff at Portarlington.
Todd Rosewall and Harry Mann have nearly 1000 runs between them for the Sharks while James Kernot has 21 wickets.
Queenscliff’s Tom Bakker is coming off a run-a-ball 74 in the semi-final.
